GIVE PEACE A CHANCE

Give peace a chance is a song written by John Lennon, the song was recorded the 1st

June of 1969. Then, it was produced by John and his girlfriend, Yoko Ono. It is a Folk

rock, pop song.

This melody was written because John was protesting against the Vietnam war, he

and Yoko did two Bed-in for peace ( spent a whole week in a hotels bed talking with

visitors, journalists and friends).

When they were in the Queen’s Elisabeth hotel John said to a journalist that they

were doing that because they wanted to “give peaces a chance” and because of that,

he wrote this song.

The song explains that everybody is thinking in the war, revolution, ministers... and

they don’t give peace a chance.

I have chosen this song because it’s a very revolutionary song. It’s also an anthem

against the war.
