Judith Azcona García

This is a song was written by Sabaton, a Swedish power metal like group, the 3rd of August in 2010, it's called uprising.

It talks about Warsaw (the capitol of Poland) uprising during II World War, which begun the 1st of August 1944. It was a major World War II operation by the Polish resistance Home Army (in Polish "Armia Krajowa"), to liberate Warsaw from Nazi Germany, ahead of the Red Army advance.

The rebellion coincided with retreat of German forces and Red Army approaching the eastern suburbs of the city. The Soviet advance stopped short, however, while Polish resistance against the German forces continued for 63 days until the Polish surrendered.

This song is a tribute to Polish heroes who died in this uprising.

I've chose this song because I remember listening to this when I was younger, it would hype me up and I thought the meaning of the lyrics was perfect for the topic.
