This is a famous photography taken by Eddie Adams, in 1968, during the Vietnamese war. The picture was shot seconds before an innocent life is gone. It's a black and white photo, as it is quite old.

In the background you can see some buildings and streets, which leads us to the conclusion, it was taken in a city. If we look more closely in the foreground there are some soldiers walking around, but two of them stand out from the others.

They are taking a Vietnamese citizen somewhere else. The one on the left seems to be smoking a cigarette and he's also wearing sunglasses. Both of them people are holding guns. Except for the dweller, they are wearing an bullet proof vest and a helmet for protection. Despite of the guy in the middle looking really scared, the two soldiers give the impression of being determined to carry on their acts.

The atmosphere in this picture is of despair. The boy in the middle has nothing to do with the war and he will probably die because of it. It makes me think of how lucky I am, not to be living the hell they lived.
